This game is alot like Borderlands 1: a very good game and it's a little bit repetitive, but if you get some friends to play, you won't even care!
The microtransactions are a chore, though you can still buy things for merely playing it and using credits.
I would give the game a 7 for singleplayer (try playing it while listening to your favorite podcast, it's quite enjoyable), and an 8 for multiplayer.
